The new GMC Sierra 1500 has arrived in Rockville, and our team here at Fitzgerald Buick GMC is excited about the changes with this popular pickup truck. We invite you to come to check it out and see it for yourself.
Technology
The GMC Sierra 1500 has been updated with the latest driver-assistance tech like the available Super Cruise feature. There are over 200,000 miles of compatible road where you can take advantage of hands-free driving. It can also be enabled while trailering, and the system comes designed to account for the trailer and adjust braking to help keep you safe when on a road trip around Washington DC.
Another change to the technology is the new 13.4-inch GMC Infotainment System. This feature comes standard on trims like the SLE, Elevation, Denali, AT4X, and others to provide a larger customizable screen than previous generations. Built-in Google tech allows you to get directions and use verbal commands without connecting a smartphone.
Performance
New to the lineup is the Sierra 1500 AT4X. This capable off-road trim has a specially designed chassis for off-roading in Gaithersburg, along with front and rear e-locking differentials to help you keep traction. It also has a special Terrain Mode designed for low-speed off-roading to provide you with a precise amount of control.
You have four engine options with the 2.7L Turbo High-Output engine standard on the Elevation, SLE, and Pro trims. It provides you with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, that translates to up to 9,400 pounds of trailering capability. For those looking for even more performance, there's the 6.2L V8 that comes standard on the new AT4X and the Denali Ultimate. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, you have 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It's also capable of towing up to 13,000 pounds across Clarksville.
These are just a few exciting changes to the new GMC Sierra 1500 near Bethesda. We invite you to contact us for more information and schedule a test drive to see it in person.
